Adult Ministries
No matter where you stand in your relationship with God,
we provide adults with many different opportunities to
learn more about the Christian faith and to deepen their
understanding of the Bible and how it applies to their
lives. In addition to our weekly House Churches/Small
Groups, which are the key to St. David’s discipleship
program, spiritual growth and weekly fellowship
opportunities, we offer weekend seminars throughout the
year on such topics as Personal Finances, Sharing Your
Faith, etc. Check back for information of these special
events.
Sundays
9:20 am - 10:15 am - A Small Group meets weekly
before our 10:30 a.m. service to study together relevant
passages of Scriptures which would prepare them to enter
more readily into the Worship of God that morning. This
Small Group also gives the participants a chance to
interact with others and develop relationships. They
usually read together and discuss the Gospel reading to be
read that Sunday and which our preacher generally teaches
from.
Alpha Course
Alpha is a 12-week practical introduction to the Christian
faith, designed especially for the unchurched, new
Christians or just simply those with questions. Alpha is
taught as part of one of our House Churches. As soon as we
have a group of persons ready to enter into a discussion of
the basics of the Christian faith a Small Group is formed
and begun. The evening starts at 7:00 pm with a wonderful
dessert and an opportunity for fellowship. This is followed
by a talk on video from our speaker, Nicky Gumbel. After
the talk, the group discusses the video message.
The discussion is very informal and all questions are
encouraged. The evening ends at 9:00 p.m. sharp. There is
always the opportunity to stay behind and chat or discuss
with your new friends. It is an exciting evening and a
great time is had by all. Some topics are: Who is Jesus?
Why did Jesus die? Why and How do I pray? How does God
guide us?
If you are interested in attending our next Alpha Course,
please contact us and we will keep you informed.
Know What You Believe
Have you already attended an Alpha course? Were you
blessed? Would you like to grow even more? Were you left
with questions unanswered? Then plan on attending our
follow-up course Know What You Believe.
This is a 12-week course that is taught as a part of one of
our House Churches. The evening starts with dessert and
time for fellowship. The material is presented lecture
style with opportunity afterward for further discussion.
In this course we go deeper into what the Christian life is
all about. We look together at who God is in His fullness
as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Some of the topics we will
discuss are: Does God Exist? How can we know Him? What is
the Character of God like? We look at the most important
events in the life of Jesus: His birth, His ministry, the
Last Supper, the Cross and His Resurrection. We also look
closer at the Ministry of the Holy Spirit, as Sanctifier,
Equipper, Empowerer. We will look closer at The Bible, its
Composition, its Authority. We will also take a look at the
Church, its Importance and Calling. As you can see, this
course will be a blessing.
If you are interested in attending our next Know What You
Believe, please contact us and we will keep you informed.
We have numerous other opportunities for growth at our
church. We can sincerely say that there is something for
everyone.
